Help a guy out. Please.
David McCool, the writer and creator of the incredible podcast Sparks has unfortunately had a real run of bad luck. I first got in contact with him after I reviewed his show, and we kept in touch. I knew that times had been tough recently, but I found out that he had been made homeless just after Xmas and had been sleeping rough for nearly two weeks. On top of previous health problems which have landed him in hospital, his child was born in Poland, and due to lack of money, his passport had expired and he had no way to renew it.
He set up a Go Fund Me page to raise enough money to get a passport and get over to see his child. The link is below.
I have got to know David over the last year or so, and this spiral of misfortune has been heartbreaking to see. If he doesn’t hit his target, then the fundraiser fails and he doesn’t get any money at all (which is causing him even more stress). Honestly, if you’re looking to try and redress the balance of good deeds against the current climate of hatred and fear, then please take the time and donate some money. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but everything helps.
