Just a quick thank you

No review this week folks. The festive season has taken up an inordinate amount of my time. Rather than rush out a review that I’m not happy with, I thought I’d take this opportunity to thank some people for their support. This year has been the toughest yet for the blog, and much like “the difficult third album”, I have struggled more than ever to keep up the momentum of writing on a regular basis. That isn’t the reason for this post though!

Without further ado then, I would like to thank the following people, in no particular order, for their help and support for the last few years.

Mackensie Freeman at SSM&L. She was one of the first to reach out to me with news of new shows, and advance episodes. I always like to hear from her with whats in the pipeline. Likewise, Shanice Jones and Hayley Brinkman, have all been a great help with keeping me up to date with upcoming shows. These are the people who make me feel like a professional writer!

Imran at Greatpods. You will have seen the link at the bottom of my reviews for ages now. Imran got in touch ages ago. His website is an invaluable resource for podcast reviews, and I’m so pleased to be involved with it. He was also the first person to give me the title of “professional writer”. That was a bit of ego polish that I genuinely needed at the time.

Rick Palmer at Some Other Sphere podcast. Since I reviewed his show, he is the only one to have continuously shared my posts, and done his bit to promote my blog. After I post a review, I’ll get a brief interaction, and then its back to normal. Rick though has stayed on my radar by re-posting so many of my reviews on multiple platforms. His help has been great indeed.

Richard “Herr Flick” Gibson. Of the three people (yeah, I know, boo-hoo right?) who have supported me on Ko-Fi, he is the only celebrity to have chucked me a fiver for my writing. I still pay for everything myself, so any money I get through the blog helps me more than I can say.

Last, but by no means least, my most ardent Ko-Fi supporter, eagle eyed spell checker, and the reason I literally exist, my mother. You know I love you!

Well, there’s not much more to say really. I hope you all had a great Christmas, or whatever you prefer to celebrate, and here’s hoping that 2025 will bring everything you could wish for. Normal programming will resume next week as we kick off the new year in style. Thank you all for you support. It means more than you will ever know.
