The Podcastgeek awards 2023

Podcastgeek trophy

Has it been a year already? Tempus Fugit and all that I suppose, and tempus really does fugit the older you get doesn’t it folks. But anyway, enough of my pre-award banter, as you can see, I’ve had my gold lamé jacket back from the dry cleaners and that can only mean one thing. It’s time for the annual podcastgeek awards 2023. The only podcast award that is entirely virtual and holds no monetary value, just bragging rights.

There have been some really amazing series launched this year, and in truth I have been writing this post since October. The list has shuffled a few times since then, but the awards are absolutely well deserved I’m sure you’ll agree. There’s also a new category or two added so there are even more entirely virtual trophies which won’t gather dust on your shelf.

I will obviously link to my reviews wherever possible, just so you can get more of an in depth idea of the shows. If I haven’t got round to reviewing them yet, I’ll still link to the actual show. I do encourage you to track all these shows down, they are all exceptional.

But anyway, you don’t want me wittering on do you? You want to know who’s won what. Well then. Here are the shortlists.

Wow, this year has come around so quickly. It only seems like last week I was compiling the list for the first awards.

I would like to give special thanks to Imran at GreatPods, Mackenzie at Beckmedia, and Rebecca and Alexandra at SSM&L for introducing me to so many great shows and really ”getting my foot in the door” as far as this blog goes.

Also to Rick Palmer at Some Other Sphere podcast, I don’t think a single show has supported this blog as much as SoS, and I really appreciate that. Last but not least, I’d like to thank my proofreader, ko-fi supporter and source of 50% of my DNA, my mother. You got your mention at last!
